Terms of Use
ZapHog.com · Effective date: September 13, 2026 · Last updated: September 13, 2026
ZapHog (“ZapHog,” the “Site,” “we,” “us”) is published by Ampium LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company. These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Ampium LLC. By using ZapHog you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use ZapHog.
1. What ZapHog is
ZapHog is an information service. You ask a question and ZapHog gives you an answer, the reasoning behind it, and, where useful, a follow-up question and links to other sites. Answers are written by artificial intelligence at the moment you ask, from general knowledge and, for some questions, current web results.
Answers can be wrong. AI-written answers can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or simply mistaken, and they can sound confident while being wrong. Check anything that matters before you act on it.
ZapHog is not professional advice. Nothing on ZapHog is medical, legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment, insurance, real-estate, or other professional advice, and nothing here substitutes for a licensed professional who knows your situation. Using ZapHog does not create a doctor-patient, attorney-client, fiduciary, agency, brokerage, or any other professional relationship. On high-stakes subjects ZapHog may decline to make a call and point you to a better source; that is intentional and not a substitute for getting that source.
Your decisions are yours. You are solely responsible for what you decide and do, including anything you buy, book, sign, hire, take, or forgo, based on anything you read on ZapHog.
2. Using ZapHog
You must be at least 13 to use ZapHog and at least 18 to create an account. You agree not to:
- use ZapHog for anything unlawful, or to ask about, harass, or expose a private individual;
- submit anything false, defamatory, infringing, confidential, or that you have no right to submit;
- scrape, crawl, bulk-download, or systematically collect answers or data, or use ZapHog or its output to build or train a competing service or dataset, except as our robots.txt permits for public search engines;
- interfere with the Site, evade rate limits or bot checks, or access it by automated means beyond ordinary browser use;
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation.
We may limit, suspend, or end your access at any time for any violation, or to protect the Site or others.
3. Accounts
You can sign in by email link or with Google. Keep your email account secure; activity through your account is your responsibility. You can delete your account at any time from your account page, and we may close accounts that are inactive or violate these Terms.
4. What you give us
When you tap an answer, tell us what happened, leave a note, or publish a contribution, you grant Ampium LLC a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, aggregate, and create derivative works from it to operate and improve ZapHog, including showing de-identified aggregate statistics in answers and publishing contributions you chose to publish under the name you chose. You confirm it is truthful to your knowledge and yours to give. We may edit, decline, or remove anything at our discretion, and we have no obligation to act on it. Our use of personal information is governed by the Privacy Policy.
5. Third parties, links, and money
Answers may link to other sites, including places to buy, book, or learn more. Those sites are not ours; their content, products, prices, and practices are their responsibility, and your dealings with them are between you and them. A link is not an endorsement. Third-party names and marks belong to their owners.
ZapHog may show clearly labeled advertising and may earn a commission or fee when you follow some links. Compensation never changes the answer, nobody can pay for a better answer, and nobody can pay to bury one. Advertisers are solely responsible for their own products and claims.
6. Our content
ZapHog, its design, software, answers, data compilations, and trademarks (including “ZapHog” and the Hog mark) are owned by Ampium LLC or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property law. You may use ZapHog for personal, non-commercial purposes, share links, and quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link. Anything else, including reproducing answers at scale or commercially, requires our written permission.
If you believe content on ZapHog infringes your copyright, send a notice meeting the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to legal@zaphog.com, Attn: Copyright Agent, at the address below. We respond to valid notices and terminate repeat infringers.
7. No warranty
THE SITE AND EVERYTHING ON IT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, RELIABILITY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY ANSWER IS CORRECT, THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT IT IS SECURE.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (a) AMPIUM LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST SAVINGS, LOST DATA, PERSONAL INJURY, OR FAILED TRANSACTIONS, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO ZAPHOG OR ANYTHING ON IT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY; AND (b) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO ZAPHOG WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits; where that is so, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows.
9. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ampium LLC and its members, managers, employees, and agents from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from what you submit, your use of ZapHog, or your violation of these Terms, the law, or anyone’s rights.
10. Disputes and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or ZapHog will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, conducted in Pennsylvania or remotely. YOU AND AMPIUM LLC EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO BRING OR JOIN A CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court. You may opt out of arbitration by emailing legal@zaphog.com within 30 days of first using ZapHog after this version’s effective date.
11. Changes and general terms
We may change ZapHog or these Terms at any time; the date at the top reflects the current version. For material changes we will give reasonable notice on this page and, where we have your email, by email. Continued use after a change is acceptance. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stands. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Ampium LLC about ZapHog. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
